Uniform Information

Everyday of term your child should wear the full Roundhill Academy uniform. Every morning, students’ uniform is checked on entering the tutor room and we expect students to remain in full uniform at all times on school site. The following list provides information on school uniform for all students.   The school reserves the right to take disciplinary action against any child whose uniform does not comply with these requirements. The judgement of the Headteacher will be final in these matters.

JUMPER (Optional) Dark navy/silver V-neck with school name may optionally be worn. No other jumper is permissible.
TROUSERS Classic suit style trousers in mid-grey. Tight fitting or cropped trousers are not acceptable. No stretch fabrics, jean style or turn ups. Belts must be plain black buckled.  During hot weather tailored mid-grey shorts may be worn.
SKIRT A fully pleated knee length skirt in plain mid-grey. The skirt should not be tightly tailored or of a stretchy ”lycra” type material.  It must not be split above the knee.
SHIRT White shirt – must be tucked in at all times and the top button done up. Sleeves must not be rolled up but short sleeved shirts may be worn.
TIE Clip on school tie.
SOCKS Plain black, grey, navy or white. No trainer socks, no socks over tights.
TIGHTS Plain black, natural, navy or grey. No leggings, footless tights or patterned tights.  Tights or socks to be worn not both.
FOOTWEAR Plain sensible flat black footwear, any logos must be black. Plain black boots are only acceptable when it has snowed.
COAT Outdoor coats should be dark and plain in colour, compatible with our school uniform and discrete logos only. We do not consider sports tops, hoodies, fleeces, leather jackets, fur coats or denim jackets and other fashion items to be school uniform.
PE KIT Boys & Girls compulsory items:

Black sports polo shirt with white piping and school name

Black shorts / skort / tracksuit bottom with white piping

Boys & Girls optional items:

Black sports zipped hoodie with school name

Black leggings / Black base layer

Black sports socks

Training shoes

Football boots (boys only)

A separate bag for PE kit should be used.

JEWELLERY AND ACCESSORIES Two small studs or earrings in plain gold or silver.

One nose stud.

Tongue and Belly piercings are not allowed on the grounds of Health and Safety.

MAKE-UP KS3 – Make-up and nail varnish are not to be worn to school.

KS4 – Girls are permitted to wear a natural look foundation and mascara. Only clear nail varnish is permitted on a natural nail for school.

HAIRSTYLES No unnatural or extreme hairstyles or colour.
HAIR BANDS/RIBBONS Plain black or navy.
HEADWEAR Caps are not to be worn on the school site.

Certain items of clothing/headwear are acceptable if they form part of religious observance. Parents should contact the school if they wish to discuss this with a senior member of staff.
